Welcome to MyMisiones – A Foreigner’s Guide to Misiones!
This blog is my passion project. It was born from two things: my admiration for the beauty and culture of Misiones and the realization that there are very few English-language resources for travelers here. My goal is to bridge that gap and share my stories, photos, and tips from iconic places like Iguazú to hidden corners that most visitors never see.

About me
My name is David. I’m from Germany, but life brought me to Misiones, first to be with my girlfriend, and soon after I fell in love with this province itself. Today, I’m studying to become a tourist guide at the National University of Misiones.
My experiences
I’ve always loved history, travel, and photography, so exploring Misiones feels like the perfect adventure. All the photos you find on this website were taken by me — capturing the places, details, and little “hidden histories” I discover along the way. This blog lets me share that curiosity, those small stories that might otherwise be forgotten. And whenever possible, my dog Lexy, a fluffy Chow Chow, comes along with me on my trips.
What to expect
On MyMisiones, you’ll find:
- Travel guides and practical tips for exploring the province
- Stories about its history and culture
- Personal experiences and discoveries along the way
- Plenty of photos to bring Misiones closer to you
If you’d like to follow along beyond the blog, you can also find me on Instagram, where I share more snapshots of life and travel in Misiones.
Thanks for being here, and I hope you’ll enjoy discovering Misiones with me!
